I think what we are talking about here is crash bobbins, bungs, blocks, pads even.?

They are high density plastic bobbins that bolt on to the frame in various places, and prevent the bodywork and fittings scarping along the road if you have a spill. I know plenty of riders that swear by them and can bear testimony to how well they work. However they are on bikes with full fairings, not lumpy and bumpy like the Tiger?. It would need a bit of thought to find the right places to mount them.

Loads of manufacturers make them, just look in any accesories catalogue....

most of the good ones fit to the engine mounts and as such it should not matter whether the bike is faired or not. R&G are very high quality items. I had them on my TT600 but so far have nothing fitted to the Tiger.

Perhaps a pointer to the triumphrider site and Paz’s photos would help?

http://www.triumphridersite.com/viewtopic.php?t=631
Also Barry has had a bit of a spill on his green meaney Katja with the H&B Jack L bars

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...threadid=30739

You may need to cut and paste the links unless anyone can fix them

What's on everybody's list of favorite extras for their Tigers?

Merry Christmas and Happy Riding New Year
:-g to all . . .
this is my favorite extra for the Tiger; takes care of your luggage needs, opens up new choices for tires, improves stability off road and in bad weather, negates ride height issues and obiviates the need for crash bars :-D

Now just how mad is that paint job in the top photo! That is almost cartoon like the real Tigger!

I bet it makes an 'interesting' ride for the poor soul 'in the chair', knowing how spirited the Tiger can be at times!

Excellent.............
