A much appreciated post Silverstripes. I'm about to do the same this weekend, plus fitting a posh compass (£24 satnav) and a Stebel Nautilus.
I prototyped an alloy bracket of similar dimensions last week but there was a hint of bending when her Highness clambered on board. I've got some thicker Dural and some steel bar. I intend to experiment with both.
Biggest problem is going to be working out where to stick the Stebel.
