OK; for a 2610 and 2720 (like mine) you need the Garmin wiring and a means of securing it to the bike (lots of options here).
Anyway, first things first.
You'll seen one of these. Personally I like to wire the GPS directly to the battery. That way, when I fill up at a service station, the GPS doesn't **** down when I turn off the ignition. This is important for two reasons; firstly so that your track isn't separated into different files (within the GPS) and secondly because it's a pain to reboot and have to wait for the Garmin to pick up where it left off; meanwhile you're 1 mile down the road and have missed the turning !
