I'd rather spring for the $4 to $5 for the relay and to do 20 minutes' of wiring than have to replace the horn switch....one reason I went that route on my bike. Reduce the load, lengthen the life of the switch. Easy fitment as well. Fiamms sound GREAT....think "large pickup" or "small lorry"....tho not airhorns the Fiamms WILL get the attention of a cager in most cases. For the rest, hand grenades would not help.....

Stebel Nautilus Compact
Hi all
I was in my local Halfords (Sheffield) today and they are selling off some old packaged Nautlius compacts at £10 each. There where 3 of them now there are 2. At that price is got to be worth an upgrade
Cheers Noj

Yeah, it's a Stebel Nautilus, excellently loud horn, you can take the compressor off and run the horn part with a hose.
Easy enough to take apart, or stick the whole thing under your seat, it is that loud it doesn't matter.

I have my Nautilus facing forward and it's prone to be choked by large insects. Bees, especially. I've taken it apart and blown it out with the compressor to clear its throat of bees. Now I toot it once a day to keep its throat clear. Getting one for a tenner seems like a really good deal! Be sure to install it with the relay, the current draw will fry your switch if you don't and the horn will sound like a strangled cat.

Fiamm...
On the ST I installed the HI/Lo set of Fiamm horns per the set that Aerostich sells... they sound like a Mercedes because that is what is on one... they are invaluable and they are heard. I will be doing the same to the Tiger. I wired mine up with a replay using the horn wiring as the trigger circuit. There isn't enough juice from the stock setup to fire a set of larger horns. Me thinks some of the other soltuions are just too **** loud when all I would want at some points is a "hi, how are yah" honk, and 139db is more like coming up behind someone and popping a beg of air...
