Scottoiler fitment
Has anyone fitted a Scottoiler to a Tiger 1050 (07 model)? I have got as far as taking off the fairing, tank and the airbox cover, but I'm unable to find the fasteners that hold the airbox to the engine. So I have put it all back together and the Scottoiler is still on the workbench! Can anyone out there give me a clue?

I can't find a recall for the fuel connector socket - there was one for the pipe end plugs, which were changed to metal from plastic; and another for a leak at the fuel level sender.

There's a little bracket at the back of the airbox with a couple of torx screws. Once these are out the airbox just pulls up off the throttle bodies, but it can be quite firmly stuck. I always use a little bit of silicon grease when I refit it.

i have the touring pack fitted to my 06 tiger,, but the vacuum connecter is actually fitted to the leaft hand air/fuel intake via a hole carefully drilled and
tapped and the little brass fitting carefully screwed in,, which the plastic elbow fits onto,, the shop fitted it and i,m not entirely convinced its working properly i have to set it to near maximum to get any oil out atall, so i,m gonna blank it off and fit the viton t piece (ordered yesterday) from www.scottoiler.co.uk free of charge, and fit it the way it was supposed to be fitted,, i,ll try and put a photo on to show you all,,,

Thanks Ian, I did take this component off but the box didn't move. I can't have been using enough muscle/big enough hammer/should have let the wife have a go. I will let you know if I am sucessful next time I am desperate for something to do! Richard

you may need some spacers between the rear light and the bike so the number plate is lit.
