I would think that they should since I don't see them changing the molds for a close out model I am of course open to correction on this (as usual).

Data, folks we need to make decisions based on data! From my trusty CD of the Triumph parts fiche from the Ficheman on Ebay, I looked up the part number for the 955 tank. The part number is T2402480 followed by a color code. There is no note to indicate that the part varies by VIN. The data-based answer is "Yes" it will fit. I have a 2006 fairing on my 1999. That part is also unchanged for the whole model.
The CD is one of the best resources - and a cheap one to boot! - for working on Maggie!

it will fit, but

It will fit, but '06 Fuel pump assembly is different. You will have to make sure you use fuel pump assembly from '01

fuel lines as wel

My 2006 tank has only 1 line to the injectors, I think the 2001 has 2 so there could be an issue here as well. But as Slayer said if you use the fuel pump assembly from your 01 you should be OK
