I can't speak for the expensive bit, as my Triumph top box came with the (used) bike. But leaky - filled up with water just stood in the rain, never mind about travelling. I really regretted leaving my old Rickman box on the previous 885 tiger. I now have an oriental Givi copy top box which is big enough for anything I'm likely to want to put in it AND its waterproof, plus it cost me less than £50 off Ebay. I suppose it would look better if it was glossy and colour matched to the bike, but that would be being picky....
