Blue Flame Exhaust

Does anyone know if a remap is required with the Blue Flame Exhaust for the '05 Tiger?

I had a D&D pipe on my Speed Triple that sounded incredible but they do not make one for the Tiger.

If the dealer fits the new can then they should download the off road tune too; I have one and my mate also had it done - it adds a couple of bhp but more importantly smooths things out nicely. Make sure they do it!

Hi,

I had the twin port fitted to my 05 and now on the 06. It does not require remapping if you leave lower port with the baffle in.

This was the main reason I got it in preferance to the Triumph race can.

Sounds nice to.

Not sure why you wouldn't want to re-map the fueling.. It smooths things out so well and makes the bike run better (IMHO) so that I would get it done anyway.

Can't see why not Big Bill but I'm no mechanic. Best bet to talk to local dealer.

... Or talk to somebody with a Tuneboy that can do it properly. Dealers don't understand mapping (or much else) in my experience.

The main difference with the race can tune is that it isn't over-weakened in the vital 3,000 rpm area.

Or buy a dynojet power commander ! I have had one on my Tiger now for a year, it sorted out an aftermarket can a treat. Engine soooooo responsive and air/fuel ratio exactly right across the rev range. No hesitation, surging blah blah blah . Check out www.dynojet.co.uk and read all about it ! I will get round to posting up the dyno runs before and after fitting when I get a mo !

Thanks all for the info.

A coworker suggested ...."simply remove the baffle".... I did this on a v-twin Suzuki cruiser I owned previously, and was very happy with the results. However many differences in a Marauder and a Tiger.

Any experience with a simple baffle removal out there????

I believe it isn't simple, the only way to get at the baffle would be by way of an angle grinder or similar
