Tiger Highway Pegs

I wanted a pair of highway pegs that would fold completely out of the way during off-roading.

First, the pegs themselves. Oury Mountain Bike grips on a section of 7/8" bicycle seat post, with a hinge.

The locking button, made from a piece of steel wire and a brass button soldered on. Button was turned on my lathe.

Spring-loaded locking button installed on peg, just like a tent pole.

The peg installed in the bracket. Note the two holes in the bracket, allowing a stowed position (shown here), and a deployed position.

Both pegs installed, showing the two positions.

And the whole thing installed...

nice work. i have the TB ones that attach the the crash bars and thought that they needed to be out a little farther. the ones you built solved that problem.

Would you consider making a set for a 2007 tiger which is owned by a guy who has zero mechanical skills. Its so bad that the alarms go off when I try to enter a home depot lol.

Sure, bring 'er on over.

(I would have to have the bike here to size everything up. The setup pictured above won't work on an '07, as they were designed to fit the skidplate of my own design on my '05.)

Thumbs up Tiger Footpegs

Stretch, thanks so much for your information. The 'Highway Bars' look great but I am concentrating on the riders pegs at the moment. I did fit some Buell pegs (part numbers N0521.1AD and N0520.1AD) and they helped a lot till I dropped the bike last week (shame on me) and snapped the RH one. I am planning to replace it but then remembered seeing some 'CHUNKIER' one somewhere in the TriumphRat dialogue. I did a bit of searching and then saw yours. Can you please tell me what they are, where to get them and how hard they were to fit.
Cheers Wall

Totally decadent wimping out like that

But, wow, what a great job, and sure must help the sore but by giving a different seating position on long hauls - well done!
