I am ready to buy a better windsheild for my 02 tiger. Any advice? I want something that really works.

Eagle screens from Australia, without a doubt.

CeeBailey's. They make models that are taller, and wider & taller.

Stay away from those 'spoiler' type windshields. They look ridiculous.

Other than that, anything else you're happy with.

But then some of us find they work and aren't too bothered about how JRO thinks we look........

Works for what?, buffeting ?, noise, weather protection ??

You will see already that the subject of screens is an emotive and subjective topic. What works for one ain;t necessarily going to work for another?

Just be realistic, the Tiger is NOT an aerodynamic bike, far from it. You can improve things.... a lot, but unless you fit a garage door to the front you will still get a degree of noise/weather/buffetting.

I know what works for me, and there have been many many threads before on this subject.

Can i suggest that you use the 'Advanced Search' function and read them all for yourself.

After all it's your dollars that's going to get spent eh ??

I am 5'9" tall and want to clean up the buffeting and definitely the noise. I wish I could make it a goldwing LOL

is the vario the winner?

6' 1" my solution was to remove the windscreen completely, that way you get a steady blast of wind rather than buffeting. Screens are more trouble than they are worth in my opinion.

I bought a sport shield and an MRA Variotouring shield. By far the sport shield yields less buffeting, but you get bugs in the face. The Vario I have only used a couple of times, but I seem to still get buffeting above 70 mph. I installed the mirror wideners as some here have suggested to help with buffeting. It may be better than the stock or Triumph tall screen, but I have never used one (the Previous owner cut the stock screen down)....

I have heard also that using spacers between the screen and the fairing to give more venturi action is another attempt at a buffeting cure...I may try this with the Vario. Other folks swear by the CeeBailey screens and others. I get the feeling that it is pretty much a design issue with the Tigers. You'll have to experiment to find an acceptable level of buffeting and noise for the type of riding you do most.

Hi KlingKlang,

You'll see pictures if you go to the album pages, on sheet 4 of the cockpits & windshield section.

Cheers.
