I just bought a used '06 Tiger and I love it.

but seriously, has anyone actually taken theirs offroad?

Yes, frequently.
From dirt roads to challenging trails.
It's no dirt bike but it is a very good dualsport.

Glad to hear it. Once I wear out my current street tires, I will have to look into something more dual sport.

Any recommendations?

Because of the sizes of the Tiger's wheels (17" rear and 19" front) choice of offroad rubber is limited because most purpose-built offroad machines run a 18" rear and a 21" front.

Nevertheless, Continental TKC80's are meant to be a very competent dualsport tyre and are available in Tiger sizes, but don't expect them to last frantically long :wink:

Great photos....but those all look like older tigers to me which seem to be a bit more rugged.

I have yet to see a 2006! You know...with the mag wheels, etc.

I am curious as to what difference those wheels make.

However, after seeing all the cool bolt on bars to protect things I am gaining confidence!
