Can the dealers put the power update reflash in the bike ECM without changing the can??? Any benefit to this??? Maybe free of charge or small fee??? Should it still add some power??? Or stupid idea??? I don't even have the gosh darn thing home yet!!!!! :razz:

It makes the 955 bikes run better with the standard can so I expect the 1050 would also benefit,as the bikes are preset to run very lean to meet emission laws. Cost in UK is about £15,it won't add any more power but should make the engine run a little better. Effect on fuel consumption should be minimal. And you could always add the loud can in due course ?

I have the 955 with the offroad tune installed and I agree with what John is saying for the most part, but I take exception with the notion that the tune doesn't add any power.

I believe that overall H.P. goes up a little (a reported 3- 5 H.P.) The power certainly FEELS greater too, as off idle response is greater.

If the 1050 comes from the factory with the same lean condition then I would waste no time in having this done!
