Surprisingly, I have yet to see a thread about someone swapping a Daytona (or even a Sprint) engine into a Tiger to get more horsepower. Does anyone know if this has been discussed, or better yet, illustrated?
When I was looking for my Tiger there was a guy in California selling a Tiger with a Daytona Motor. I would guess that motor might be a little tweaky on the Tiger. BTW you need to swap the shift cam if you want it to shift normally.

I was searching this site for information regarding this swap because I now own that bike from Cali. The swap is very clean, the former owner claims the computer was remapped to match the bike. Im not sure if it really was, but the bike is smooth and brutally fast. This is by far the best bike I have owned. The only problem is that the shift pattern is reversed and Im not sure how you swap the cam to fix that, so I have learned to live with it. :-D
