Given the continued problems/difficulties with cb screens, I decided to look into the options. Powerbronze have confirmed the do screens for a 955i Tiger, even though this is not shown on their website. has anyone any comments to make on their use/quality etc?

Hi
I am also a Tango owner and like you having read all the threads have some major doubts about the CB. Thanks to a member here I rode a Tiger with a CB, then mine with stock and to be honest I found diddly squat difference !! It was I believe the smallest CB available.

The best aftermarket screen I found with all the Trailee's I have owned was an M.R.A for the Varadera . On that one you could adjust the height of the screen to suit with a rather useful sliding device, come mechanism !! i have checked the MRA site and the Tiger one has no adjustment Like you will do a bit more research !

Hi Guys,

I have just been speaking with the HPS who sell the MRA screens and they have confirmed the latest MRA Touring screen now fits a 955i tiger. This screen has an adjustable type aerofoil on the leading edge that can be "tuned" to cut out noise and buffeting.

Price is £85.09 which seems reasonable compared with some of the other screens out there.

If I end up buying one I will post a review

Steve.

I've ordered an MRA Vario Touring Screen, should be here some time late next week. I'll post up some pics as soon as it's on Stripey.

I saw one yesterday on a varadero, and they are a well made piece of kit. The owner said that he found it really easy to set up and it has 'transformed' comfort levels on long distance runs.

We'll see.......

Big Stripey, Did you ever get that MRA? I'm heading up
to Alaska in May and I was going to order a CeeBaileys
but this MRA screen looks good. I'd really like to see
the photos and get an opinion on how it works.

Jim,

What, no riding between now and when the new screen arrives.

Humpfff!

If i didn't know any better i would say that you were taking the mickey !

I'll explain...yesterday i fitted a digitool gear indicator on to stripey. Got it all fitted up and thought right!....time to go out and calibrate it (god i wish the Tigers had the speed sensor on the rear wheel). I looked at the sky and it was a cloudless blue, cold, but ideal!, roads had dried out and i thought...brilliant.

Off is set and within 10 minutes somebody switched off the lights  and visibility went to about 50 yds in the worst downpour of sleet and snow i could have wished for

By the time i had tried (in vain) to calibrate it, i was soaked (even through my Hein Gericke jacket, via the cuffs and neck) the bike which had been stripey's usual gleaming standard, was minging Absolutely covered in that ghastly post snow road crud and enough salt to virtually shovel off  .

So Davie......the reason for the screen being off is because i have had to virtually strip the bike down to clean all the crap off

Oh the joys of motorcycling in this green and sceptred isle
