Hi xpis,
I recently asked the dealer this question while discussing options on a new Tiger. Triumph sell 2 cans - the original off road can and the Arrow. Cost of the original & TOR just over £220. Cost of the Arrow & TOR about £450.
Both offer the same performance gain - substantial on the tiger. The only difference being looks and weight. Don't know the figures but the arrow is quite a bit lighter then the Triumph offering. I have the cheaper option on my current 955i and can vouch for the excellent power gain. When I order a new model I will take the same option again and put the saved £200+ towards other farkles.
Then you can look at the myriad of other after market pipes out there. Can't help with any info' on those.
Regards JJ

The Arrow looks good and gives more performance and has choice of legal or race options. I'm looking at Quill as they are made locally and have a lifetime guarantee. Performance gain and road legal (baffle easily removed if you want to) and no remap needed. Choice of finishes are stainless steel, carbon or titanium. Their price includes fitting and varies from £250 to £350 depending on the specification you want. I'm thinking of Quill as an alternative to Arrow. There are lots of other choices,I need a can that will allow Triumph luggage to fit. Zard make a good looking can in carbon although it is expensive.

Tiger Pipe
XPIS, I have a Quill Evo2 on my 08 Tiger and i love it!!! I purchased the Carbon Fiber with the Carbon Fiber heel plate and it came already with the stop for the center stand standard. The quality is first rate and the performance is second to none. They say you dont have to remap and you dont! It was great just the way it was. Tons of midrange power it did not have before and the sound is great. I went a little farther with mine and had a K and N filter installed and the breather box holes opened up along with the remap done at the same time. I have only one way to discribe the " New Tiger" WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!! It is now an adventure Super Bike!! Better power all throught the power range, third gear power wheelies and a totally new sound to it!! It dosent sound like it is sucking air anymore and the pipe just flows as much as you can give it. An added plus! Better gas mileage! about 3 more to the gal. and the motor runs just a tick cooler. My buddy has an Arrow on his Tiger09. He is tired of me running away from him. Ha Ha! Told you so! A Brit Bike With A Brit Pipe! Makes since!

My 07 came with the TOR pipe and tune. Sounds good, but still a lot of weight up high. Very lucky to find a 2nd hand Remus Powercone locally for less than half the price, looked like new. Sounds as per the TOR but a noticeable reduction in weight. Looks way better too.

Replacement exhaust for 1050
I am looking at possibility of fitting a replacement after market exhaust system to my Tiger 1050. One of the systems I am looking at is the Remus Powecone 3 into 1. My concern is that I am also fitting panniers. Will this interfere with the panniers, what I mean is will the exhaust exit just in front or under the pannier box thus burning it. In which case I will have to settle for a slip on can. By fitting the Remus Powercone system I am hoping that apart from the obvious power increase and better sound, I am hoping to fit a better pannier system to the Triumph units which would not have a great loss at the right side where the standard pipe exits.
My next question is, does anyone have a suggestion to what pannier system would fit which would give me equal size panniers each side?
By the way, Kildare man, you must live near me as I am Kildare too.

Chairman,
I'm in Naas
The slip on Powercone does not interfere with panniers. So you can if you want fit a full sized Triumph pannier on the right as well as the left. You would need to alter the mounting though to make it fit as closely as the left hand side. SW Motech Trax boxes look good. I've the top box (which I am selling by the way )
The full system powercone comes up higher though. The slip on is an easy half hour fit, the full system is much more involved .

!050 Tiger exhaust
Hi Kildare man,
So you must be the guy who got the Tiger I had my eye on in Celtic Triumph. I had my Speed Triple ther for sale for a while.
Do you have the single Powercone system fitted, ie: is it a complete sytem header pipes and all or is it a slip on can that fits alongside the seat like the original.
When you say I should use the slip on, is this what you mean, to use a can that replaces the original up high at the seat. Surely this prevents use of a larger side pannier?
If you have this system, I would love to see and hear it first as I am just about to click the BUY now button. Perhaps we could exchange details for a quick meet?

Not me, bought mine in the UK in February and rode it home in the Snow!!
The Powercone I have is a low slip on

Hope that removes the confusion.
Where you live / work? I'm in Naas / Dublin. PM me.
The powercone is louder than stock, about same as the TOR exhaust, but way lighter.
Shame Celtic Triumph now gone

Kildareman reply
Thanks a million for your help. Looks like your end can merely fits to the original pipe at the bottom junction after the cat. Looks good.
My email is iain@absolengineering.com. ou might know me as I have been round a long time, name Iain Duff. Yes, shame Paul is gone from Newhall. Good guy, He has my 955i at the minute, he's putting new rubber on it and kepping it for a few days for a try out. Also has my T/bird Sport since August for a few jobs. Nice guy.
Give me a shout on email, I look forward to meet up sometime.
