Blue Flame exhaust vs TOR
I know this has been beaten to pieces, but I haven't found a definitive answer yet.
Hopefully someone has directly compared this trait:
Which can is louder, the Blue flame with the baffle removed (twin port) or the TOR.
I've been running the TOR with the re-map for about three years now (with earplugs!!)
and am growing weary of the noise. It doesn't bother me much when I'm riding, but ***T, the bike is LOUD in my neighborhood. Illegal on road as well (nice stamping, Triumph!). I've always preferred quiet exhausts to begin with.
I listened to a Carbon dual port Blue Flame on YouTube, and it sounded deeper, and perhaps a bit quieter than my TOR. If only a TOR were on Youtube as well. Has anyone experienced these two setups in person. If the Blue Flame is what I'm looking for, I'll be selling off my TOR rather cheap, so maybe someone will benefit as well.
Thanks Boys!!!!!

You might like the StaInTune can. I've never heard a Blue Flame so I can't help you there, but the StaInTune has a deep throaty sound that is not overly loud and certainly not offensive. I mean, you can hear the bike going through the subdivision but no one goes looking for rocks, bricks or other hard things to throw as it goes past. You can use it with or without a remap (so I'm told). My son has it on his '01 and I can't find a thing to object to regarding the sound. Sounds really good to me.

Hi I've run both and prefer the Blue Flame, however while I can't be certain which is louder, I can be fairly certain that a Bue Flame with baffles removed ISN'T what you are looking for.
cheers
John

I am certain of one thing: the Blue Flame is LOUDER. For sure. I have heard Blue Flame exhausts on other large displacement sport bikes, and they can wake the dead. They look cool and are well made. However, the TOR can is also well made and probably made to last. I find my TOR can to be actually rather quiet at idle and low rpm. In fact, I thought it sounded like a stock can at first! Yes, it barks at mid to high rpm, but not over-kill.

Loud or Louder
I will buy your TOR! If you decide to sell.
I don't like loud either, but want the few extra ponies. I followed another Tiger with it for about 85 miles and it didn't seem too loud to me. I think the stocker is the right amount of db and hopefully wouldn't find the TOR too loud like you apparently do, cause I would likely sell it then too.
For now - if you do want to sell, put me on your list!

definitely the blueflame carbon can is the most attractive of all in my opinion. i believe that there is not a big diference in sound noise between all race cans. what worries me in the blueflame carbon is the last comment on u tube that after three months it blew out a hole. Is that possible?
I am between blueflame - bos - carbon can co.
Any tips?

I,m currently running a Blue Flame single port baffle in can on my '05.
Sound is louder than stock, bike seems to breath a little better and sound is not where people will complain or the LEO will stop you.
Never took the baffles out but guess it would be MUCH louder.
Fit and finish of the Blue Flame was great and install was simple bolt on 15 min. affair.

What about the Quill Evo 2? It seems to have the best sound (judging by youtube clips alone).
Any experiences with it? How much is it?

OK - So i went out and bought the TOR. I installed it and then returned to the dealer that I bought it at for the off road tune. They only charged me $27.50!!
It seems MuCh louder than the bike I rode with earlier this year that had one. Border line obnoxious IMHO. I rode LOUD Harleys the last 8 years and really learned to hate the noise.
I agree it's too loud when in neighborhoods unless I keep the RPMs way low by riding about two gears too high. As for performance though, HOLY SH*T!! I know some have said they noticed almost no difference and I think the claimed addition in HP is like 10 HP, but I feel like it added about 30 HP!! The bike will actually lift the front wheel a few inches off the ground when rounding a corner and then whacking the throttle. :
I like it and doubt I'll go back to stock. I am curious what will happen to my MPG though and that could be a determining factor if I see drops of more than 5 MPG.
