I have just recieved a nice lookining bagster tank cover, stuck it in the greenhouse so its more pliable and fitted it. However the cover has no attachment to the large front 'cheeks' of the fuel tank below the fairing so when i went out today the wind blew back the sides of the tank cover. I've seen other tigers with baglux covers, so how does the tank cover work- I though they would fold round the frontal lobes of the tank- but clearly not.

Perhaps it's just ****.

I have a Bagster on my 1050, and it fits nicely. Are you fitting to an earlier model?

I had to fit mine over a period of time. I never had the intial problem your having.

Are you fitting on a 955i tiger or a 1050???

I have 955i and it just barely went over the front to begin with. But enough to stay put when riding. Now after some heating and stretching it fit fine.

Can it be fitted back to front?
Someone I know had a bad fitting tank cover so he took it back to the shop where the staff told him it was on back to front

i'm not fitting it back to front! Though i did buy one off ebay for a tiger 955, unfortunately the seller was selling 'for a friend' and the one he sent me was certainly not for a tiger I realised after much wailing and gnashing of teeth. He recieved it back and refunded the money though.

I have since spoken to other owners who said that time and patience is the only solution and the cover has to mould to the tank.

They always look a bit stiff and 'badly tailored' when you first fit them after being folded up in the box.

Mine never seems to have fitted properly around the front ears of the tank and always looks a bit wrinkly there (probably to match the rider......).

The Key to fitting these I was told from and Old BMW rider is to soak the cover for a few hours in warm water then fit it wet.
I have never owned one but it sounds feasible?

I've never soaked a Bagster cover on purpose, but I've soaked them as a result of riding in the rain.
