New Waterproof GPS box

Guys and Girls,

Found this today on RAM website, it looks like a solid product, and the answer to all of us who have a car and a bike and don't want to buy two GPS units, I await the price with baited breath !

http://www.ram-mount.com/mount/ram_aqua_box_mount.htm

I have a standard mount from ram with a double ball arm that holds my TomTom, the only waterproofing is a plastic bag, this looks like a very neat solution.

I'll let you know when I get one, with some pics.

Snap.

Thumbs up i already have aqua box

I have already got 'older' Aqua box (medium). It is good product. I am using it for my PDA Phone (HTC Tytn) , which runs TomTom navigator 6. The same Device I also use in my car.

I didn't realise they were already 'out there' so to speak, does it have a screen you can touch through ?, that's the killer feature for me as I use a TomTom Go. If anybody knows of any other alternatives would be great to have a look.

Well if you bothered to read it it says :-
"The clear, touch through screen allows you to view your electronics as well as use their function keys while in place".

exactly. Touch screen works fine. The only complain on RAM is that the screen is not very transparent compared to box from Brodit. ( Brodit is much bigger though, but the screen is crystal clear )

I did read fully, I was actually reffering to the useability of what I assumed was an earlier model, as RAM dealer website states they are not available until May 2008.
