New Tiger - headlights???

I am thinking of buying a new Tiger (the 07-08 model). Can anyone tell me if it is still possible to add a couple of relays under the headlight unit to make both headlamps operate together - as it was with the older models? I'm assuming the new model still does one light for main and one for dipped! Thanks.

Hi Eagle,

From previous threads on the subject, it doesn't look like there is an easy fix using relays.

If that's the case, I'm sure one of the more "electrically" minded of us on here could come up with a solution. Surely it would just be a case of changing the single filament bulb to a twin filament, and wiring the two twin filament bulbs bulbs together. A new connector block would also be needed, I think.

Try this link: http://www.triumphrat.net/tiger-mods...twin+headlight

or try "Tiger 1050.com" I'm sure they will have sorted it by now.

Good luck.

Yeah - thanks. Didn't know that site.

Apparently Tony Little at www.ecliptech.com.au does a 'twinlight driver' that is meant for the 675 but works on the 1050 Tiger too. So when I've taken delivery of the Tiger I'll give it a try.

Put the twinlight driver on my 1050 Tiger last week. Superb piece of electronics.Really helped me on my nighttime commute.

BTW..... Tony over at Eliptec knows what customer service is all about. I paypal"ed the payment and had it in the USA in 7 days...from Australia!!!!
He's top notch in my book.

Tiger lights and new owner

Thanks. Now got my eye on an ex-demo 1050 at GT MC in Plymouth - got 6000 on the clock but well looked after. No doubt someone will tell me it's been hacked to death - but I'll give it a good run at the weekend and see how it goes. Scorched Yellow - is that the fastest? :-)
