SW Motech Crash Bars

Picked up a Tiger 1050 last week (traded in my venerable Thruxton 900 sadly) and was considering getting crash bars for the bike.

I have looked through the threads on this and do not like the look of the Touratech or other bars, but wanted to get some input from any of you running the SW's.

How do you like them, can you mount a running light on them? Are there bar's out there that will allow a forward foot peg (MA's maybe)?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

cannot vouch for them on the tiger, however i had them on my dl650 for 3 yrs and was very happy with them. did not mount pegs on them, altho a set of lites went on there easily. i think erik, who owns twisted throttle (supplier of SWM in usa) just bought a tiger1050 last fall. send him an email...they are great folks to work with.

Thanks, Coop. That is who I was going to get them through. I will drop him a line.

IMHO, the SW-Motech engine bars look like they were made for the bike...my 30 year old son thinks the bike looks better with them than without them. I have not tried to mount anything to the bars.

I bought them from twistedthrottle.com. These bars seem to be the most popular ones on tiger1050.com. I believe "Bushwhacker" from Houston, TX, on that forum has some forward pegs mounted on his SW-Motech bars. Some have dropped their tigers at zero speed and reported no damage with the SW-Motech engine bars.

Ordered the SW's today from TwistedThrottle. Should have them Friday. I will post some pictures when I get them mounted.

Crash Bars

I don't suppose anybody checking this thread has a set of crash bars for a 955 Tiger they would like to part with??
