I am 6' 4" and have tried various remedies for the buffeting question. Following an earlier thread's advice, I took off the screen altogether and went for a spin up the motorway - what a revelation! Eyeballs remained in sockets and no undue side draughts when overtaking big trucks.
The main problem now was that the bike just looked sawn-off at the front. Setting up my trusty Black and Decker with a fine tooth blade, I cut down the stock screen into a tidy curve, sanded it smooth and it looks the business - problem solved. At the speeds I ride (mainly legal) the problem is solved - for free. Only drawback is I may get a bit wetter when the good old English winter weather starts. What the hell....

Is yours a Tiger 1050?
I too found by taking the screen totally off big improvement, but looks ridiculous, so how much from the top did you cut off.
I have "taped" the original screen on at various lower levels also, found 30cm lower pretty good, 60cm not as good & 90cm lower as bad as original screen. Thanks TSP

Hi TSP,

Mine is a 2005 955 in the fastest colour - silver.
I've been out to the garage, and the cut down screen measures 24 cms from base to top edge. It stands about 8 cms above the top of the headlight fairing. As I mentioned, I do get a certain amount of wind battering, but it is more predictable and constant, unlike the buffeting I got from the higher stock and touring screens. A good,quiet helmet helps a lot too.
