Hi all

Have bought some crash bars for my tiger recently but haven't fitted them yet.

Does anyone know what torque settings I need to tighten the bolts to? I mean the engine bolts...........not my own, although might be an idea to tighten mine sometime!!!

Cheers from a screw loose..........or is that a bolt??

The torque settings for the engine mounting bolts are 80 NM. The engine mounts are where my Touratech crash bars attached at the top bars. I assume your settings depend upon which "engine bolts" you are talking about. The torque settings for virtually every bolt on the bike are listed in the first chapter of the Tiger repair manual.

hope this helps,

Hi Bikermouse,

In case you don't have a copy of the Tiger Repair Manual, Big Stripey has kindly posted a list of the Torque settings at the top of the Tiger Workshop section.....here

Hi Topcat

Have been meaning to get back in touch for a ride out but you know how it is............time doesn't seem to stand still!!

Ended up going for the cheaper option...http://www.triumph-online.co.uk/inde...&productid=815

Fitting them tonight...........first chance to do it since I got them 3 weeks ago........glad I haven't dropped it before hand.

Give me call when you're around and we'll go for a blast.
