I have just put on a pair of Battle Wings, and was told by the fitter to use 33psi front and 36psi rear,as these are Bridgestones' recommended pressures, and not the usual 36/42 that I have used with the Tourances. I cannot find any reference to pressures for the BWs on the Bridgestone UK website, so I have dropped them an email but am waiting on a reply.
In the meantime, what pressures do you use?
(BTW - 14000 miles from the front Tourance, 7000m from the rear with probably 1000 left on it)

I had Battlewings fitted by Micheldever Tyres last autumn. With no discussion the fitter set them to 36F / 42R as I was expecting. Never heard of any other recommended pressures.
Bridgestone's website

http://www.bridgestone.co.uk/bfe/tyr...m&locale=en_GB

lists these pressures BattleWings for the Tiger: F 2.5 / R2.9 which equates to: 36 / 42

Hope this helps!

I have just got back from a 'jaunt in the sun' and the Annakee rear is shot at 5.5 miles. I have read good reports on these BWs and Big Stripey started a thread last March re them :gpst:

Give us a clue any UK riders where on the Internet you go for best deals and service for Bike tyres. I have been quoted some stupid prices at local bike shops and intend on buying a pair and getting fitted at local tyre fitters.

That's interestin'. But mine's an 03. So I've checked again and have now found the right page and it shows 36/42 for the 01-04 model. Thanks for that, Orange Phil. :-D

If I hear any different from Bridgestone ( which I doubt I will ) I'll post it here.

Hi all,

Just back from a week thrashing round the hills in Colmar and the Rhine valley What a blast!!

The Battlewings were again remarkable ! i have now done 7,700 miles on them, including a trip to the nurburgring and thrashed around the mountains and hills, about 3,000 of those miles were on slab motorways. There is still 5mm of tread on the rear tyre !!

I only had one 'moment' on them this year, on some melted overbanding in the road, but i guess any tyre might have done the same ? But they soon found traction again and all was well.

Tyre Pressures ?? Drop the rear tyre to 40 psi and leave the front at 36. 42 psi in the rear made my Tiger run a bit wide, but dropping the 2 psi makes ALL the difference....

Now i have got a lot of catching up to do on all the threads

So... having been told to run 33/36, but this thread leading me to 36/42, I thought I would go out to the garage and pump them up before going to work in the morning.
Guess what?
Rear tyre is 41, front is 35.5 - so he told me to use one set of pressures, but set them to another.
It goes to show - always check and double check anything that anyone may do for you... :???:

I hear you.... Yours are pretty much spot on, but if you feel that the bike has a bit of understeer just take a pound or two out of the rear.......works for me
