Just fitted a set of Renthal 966 bars I got off of fleabay.. The fit was great and the seating postition is MUCH sportier!!! I think I'm going to like it, feels like a fat Speed Triple (I loved my Speedy) and keeps the weight off my tailbone!! I drilled the holes in the proper places and I can't believe it would substantially weaken the bars.. The bars are quite thick and made of some serious hard aluminum alloy. Jury is still out on the blue color (although it does match the preload adjusters and the Triumph Logo on the white tank) Got another one coming in gold..

Heres some pics

Full front.. Bars positioned with crossbar centered between the clamp bolts 9to start, may adjust a bit further back if clearance allows

Full lock to the left/right - plenty of room for cables and hard parts before painted bits get rubbed

I like the look of them might give it a try myself.

What drilling did you have to do? and what the holes for? Would it be possible to use speedtriple bars?

Two small holes for the switch pods on either side.. The holes prevent the switch pods from rotating.. Some grind the pins off, I chose to drill the bar!
Speed Triple bars should work, but I'm not sure if the holes are teh same.

I'm considering a 1050 Tiger, but would like a little more pullback on the bars...are there any out there that'll fit w/o fouling the tank?

Punkinwing - What model/size bars did you use? Pics aren't loading for me so I can't tell.
