I'm about to pick up my new Tiger955i which is being fitted with Triumph's own louder can. Does this mean the dealer should automatically change the fuel map during the PDI or will i have to request it? Also, would the bike still benefit from a power commander or is the race tune enough?

thanks for any help on this :???:

My dealer remapped my bike when they put the can on.

A guy who bought his Tiger just a little before I did actually talked the dealer into throwing the tune in for free when he had them install the Off-Road pipe.

Might be worth a shot-

Hardly an achievement, the tune is included in the price of the new exhaust..............

Not to mention that installing the tune takes approximately 10 minutes and involves nothing more than removing a seat, inserting a plug, pushing a button, removing said plug and replacing the seat.

My dealer did it for nothing and I didn't even buy the can. Still stock.

I wish somebody would get the word out, to all the dealers, that this is okay. Surely, Triumph reps read this forum. Can't we get somebody to 'offically' state this is okay?

thanks to all
the answer to my own question was that the dealer did download the race tune when he did the can. As soon as i can get past this 100 mile 3500rpm limit i'll find out what it sounds like! :-D

does the race tune help if you don't install the can?

What I want to know is whether everyone else with the off-road can and Triumph FI flash has as much popping and snarling coming out as I do. It's as though it were still rather lean.
