Turning 09 Speed Triple into a dirt warrior

I just bought 40 acres of land in Northern Arizona that has 25 miles of dirt road to get to it. I was wondering what I can do to my Speed Triple to make it more capable off road? Does the Tiger front fork have more travel? What about getting the pegs moved for better standing on the pegs riding?

Ideas? Besides go get a Tiger, lol.

Depending on the quality of the dirt roads, you may not need to do anything...

I cleared 150kph on dirt last month (fully loaded with soft panniers). It was only on a 20km section of dirt but most dirt roads don't scare me on the Speedy

Other than that you'd probably want bar risers to help stand up more comfortably

Change over to Pirelli Scorpion Sync tires? They look a bit more dirt tire like than stockers.

Presume you also think there's a good chance it will end up on its' side now and again?
A couple of tumbles will soon ruin that bike! A small dirt bike may end up being cheaper in the long run

Bah! I had a DRZ and while good for the dirt, it sucked on the slab. I would rather try to fit Tiger forks and a new rear shock to the Speedy. Some custom mounts for Jesse bags, an engine guard, and skidplate and I'm good to go.

Stock Speed3 forks are 120mm travel, Tiger is 150mm. The rear shocks on the Speed3 and the Tiger are rated for 150mm. I need to get the length measurements for the Tiger forks vs Speed3. If the geometry changes to much I will need to fabricate a solution to get the rear end higher.

Update:

I've had Racetech put Gold Valves in the fork and shock with 1.0kg fork springs and a 1100lb rear spring to support my weight and luggage for touring. Put SW Motech on/off road foot pegs on and a YZ85 shifter. Ordered 2" Rox pivoting risers and Scorpion Trail tires. The risers and tires will be here this week. Next is getting a skidplate underneath her and engine/radiator guards made.

Got the Scorps put on today. They actually allow you to get on it and accelerate in the dirt. I also had the shop put in a product called Ride On that is a goo like tire slime except it also dynamically balances your tire as you ride. It also plugs a leak if it's in the center part of the tire where it gets flung to as you ride. The Rox 2" risers let me stand on the pegs now. I think I still want to go a little higher, but I will need longer cables and brake lines for that to happen. I had to run all the wires and lines behind the triple tree. It clears fine and doesn't stretch anything right now. I'm going to go out this weekend in the dirt and see how it all does.

Those Scorpion Trails are pretty impressive on dirt roads. My Tiger 800 came with them from the factory and they hook up pretty well.
