Need a bracket

I had my 2006 Tiger in for it's 12K service and the dealer lost the bolt and tank bag bracket from the left side of the battery box. When I picked up the bike nobody said a word about the missing parts. It was a week later when I went to attach the tank bag that I found the parts missing. The dealer stated replacing the bolt should be no problem. However, he said he can't find a source to replace the bracket for the tank bag. Does anyone know of a place to order a new bracket? I have a 1000 mile charity ride on October 18th and it would be helpfull to have the tank bag for the ride.

Thanks, Shaun

If you mean the Triumph bag, I didn't know there was supposed to be a bracket for it! I've been attaching the straps through the frame rails for years on my 06...oops!

Ahhh! Thats where they go. I got a new tank bag the other day, not fitted it yet and the instructions seem rather vague.

I also thought it fitted to the frame rails.

Looks like I may be using the frame rail if I can't get the bracket. Not sure why there is a part on a motorcycle made in 2006 that can't be obtained.

I used to use the frame rails too, only cos I was too lazy to remove the battery.
With the brackets fitted it can be a bit fiddly getting the straps through though.
Have you thought of making one?? bit of old 1/6th ally should do, chain drill a slot and finnish with a file, make the slot over size for ease of threading the strap through, also make the bracket longer so it clears the tank a bit.

Bracket?

Anybody got a picture of this bracket installed?
Next thing you'll tell me is that there is one for the front too.
