1050 ABS Handle Bar Riser Help!

I need to get a set of risers. I haven't seen anything on here SPECIFIC to the ABS models other than one person mentioned his risers were too high for his ABS lines.

Any suggestions for adding risers without issues to the ABS brake line?

height, pull back suggestions?

Thanks

Sorry!

That would be the WEST side of the pond, in Upstate NY.

However, I made calls yesterday through a little networking and came up with Genmar in New Mexico as my first option!

I will give it a try! www.zianet.com/genmar

Thanks

bar risers...Rox

Hello,

I talked to Ryan Jensen at Rox Speed FX, Inc., and he told me that they make a model that will work with the abs Tiger. The model number is: 3R-P2SS.

I am going to order a pair so that I can get the bars up about 3/4 of an inch and back the same amount.

His number is: 218 326 1794. You might want to give him a call regarding this issue.

In terms of handlebar layout or attachment, there are no differences between ABS and non-ABS models, just an FYI

Handle Bar Riser Options!

Thanks for the replys. I wanted to follow-up for all interested.

Following up on my original post with pics & notes. I was having lower back, as well as arm & wrist cramp from handle bar position. I added a Corbin seat to help with the back from preventing the forward sliding I got from the stock seat, however it wasn't enough. I looked and called around about risers and my concerns with the ABS & not wanting to deal with new lines or relocating. After about 4+ phone calls I got to Gen-Mar, Now I might get corrected but I believe the set they recommend is either their 1" or a new not WEB listed 7/8" height increase. Because of the fork rack and position of the triple tree you get a 7/8"+ or - of an inch rise and close to a -7/16" or so pull back. You do get a more upright riding position but I got that with the Corbin as well.

Bolt length was very good, had question about the amount of space between the clamps after tightening but reviewed some sites & threads and this is normal for proper tightenting of the clamps.

They offer Black or Aluminum which the color doesn't match all that well to the stock aluminum parts but it is OK!

I would recommend these to anyone with the same issues I had and they are quick to install 5 minutes or less with slight adjustment of the cables and brake lines in how they were fed up through the fork tree.

Rox bar risers..perfect!

I e-mailed Rox and they recommended a bar riser. I think it went up two inches and back the same amount. I just put them on and they work...perfectly! The chrome finish matches the bike perfectly.
I now have a much more upright riding postion and back. Perfect for what I wanted.
Since the bars move up/down/forward I think that one could probably find a good compromise with these bars.

Just fitted a set of genmar risers to my tiger 1050 about ten minutes ago. The bars are now an inch higher and nearly two inches closer. The bars now put me in a much more upright position, with no weight on my wrists and, consequently, no stress on my knackered right shoulder! As soon as it stops raining, I'll go out for a spin to confirm my suspicions, and I'll let you know.
