Best Windshield for tall rider
New 2005 tiger owner. This bike is alot of fun to ride. I just did a trip from Hamilton On to Lewiston-Ellicotville NY, has a great time.
The only problem was when I rode on the interstate and speed above 60 mph I was hit with alot of wind buffering. I'm 6ft 2.5 in, tall. I would appreciate any insite into the best windscreen.

Screen For Tiger
Rob,
Now that's a big can of worms you have opened up there!
There is no perfect screen for the "Girlie" tiger, as some folks swear by one screen while others just swear at them.
Like you, I'm quite tall, and I found the stock screen and the Triumph "Touring" screen to be awful.
I now have the MRA screen with the adjustable lip on it. It's not perfect, but I'm happy with it as it's a lot quieter than either of the other two screens I tried and much less turbulence at highway speeds.
I hear that the Cee Baileys screens are good as you can order different hights to suit.
Cheers,
Dave.

Good Luck
having just changed the Screen on my 1050, and researching the previous threads on the subject, the best screen is the one someone else has, or in my case its an improvement you can live with, without trying them all yourself. And having many redundant screens in your garage, there must be many people with various screens for sale judging by the number of post/threads.
Once again good luck.

Thanks for the input. I will probably try the MRA with the wing first. I post the results after I try it.

Im 6'2". Stock - not good. MRA - better but no good. Cut down stock ( threads on this here ) great. Air but at least its clean with no buffeting. Interesting the air hit me around the same place regardless of the screen height. I'm sure the buffeting is caused by air coming up from the tank area.

Screen
I am 6'5". The stock screen created turbulence around my helmet at anything over 50 mph. I got the stock "sport" screen. It deflects the wind to my chest area, no more head bobbling. 4 trips to San Francisco later and I am still happy.

Chop It Off!
I am 6' 4" and tried a load of screens when I first got my Tiger in 2006. Finally I cut down the stock screen to about 25 cms and I am happy to ride up to 8o mph in good clean air with no buffeting at all.

tried and tried
I have three screens. The Stock is crap. The Cee Bailey #2 with the cockpit wings is good for someone anout 6" shorter than my 6'3"... .
the only way I get clean air is with the sport screen, but then a 5-600 miles day on the interstate is going to make one quite sore from the body buffeting, from the lack of a windscreen.
running with no screen at all is comparable to the sport screen for a trial run.
good luck

Rob,
I just purchased an 06 Tiger and am also 6'3". Please let me know when you have found what works best for you.
Also, I am just a few hours north of you in Owen Sound. Do you know of any Tiger groups in Southern Ontario?
Many Thanks!
