colonist needs a hugger/chain guard 05 tiger

Man it is rough being a colonist sometimes.
Man is it rough having a Tiger sometimes.
Poor old me...

I saw a thread on cross-over parts but I couldn't find what I needed in that thread.

I broke my chainguard and I'd like to replace it and perhaps get a hugger to boot (that's in addition to, for you non-colonists, not in the boot [that's a trunk to the colonists]).
I've found that n-w-s has one to fit the '05 but that is the only one I've found so far. They won't be easy to order from all the way over here and using greenbacks.

So two part question-- Anybody know of a cross-over like the Daytona 955i?
or of other vendors?

Thanks!

Quit winging you pitiful Texan! I'll tell other Texans, and you'll probably have to move! Riding a Tiger isn't like riding some hunk of American iron, it's an acquired taste and takes a skillful owner. Now, are you over it?
Try Baxter Cycle in Marne, Iowa. They have been really helpful and really know their stuff. I got my NWS hugger through them - I actually went there!

Thanks for the info, Mr. the Bill! But we may have to step outside and see who draws faster!

I've been learning a lot about my Tiger. I found the chain is best kept a little looser than I expect. I'm not about to give up-- I'm here to learn quicker and save myself some mistakes on how to best care for the critter.

Speaking of American Iron, they are plentiful around here. But when the wife and I came out of the BBQ haus tonight we found a Harley couple (iron-butts themselves) admiring the Tiger.

Oh no! Another Texan!
It's a rear fender liner kind of thing. It keeps the gunk out of the rear suspension and keeps the underside of the seat from getting muddied up. It mounts to the rear swingarm and follows - hugs - the tyre (tire)! On Tigers they have an integrated chain guard, too. A good piece of kit!

I bought one from eBay that looks just like the NWS one, it's missing the bracket that holds it on one spot of the mount though, and NWS is not returning my emails

Yeah I know. It's the only picture of a mounted hugger on a 955i Tiger I could fine.

I don't have my NWS hugger mounted yet because I can't find the bracket that goes on that back mount. The other two mounting locations are like the Skid Marx hugger.

Tyger,

When I went was locating a hugger for my '06 back in Feb/2008 I found N-W-S was part of Pyramid Plastics in UK who told me it would be cheaper to purchase in US and ship to Australia. Also contacted Jack Lilley in UK, Kath replied shipping would be £40.

Pyramid Plastics recommended David Cork:
pyramid@davidcork.com
sbd@davidcork.com
www.streetfightersbydesign.com

The above contact info may be out of date, but give it a try.
He was good to deal with by email, payed by Paypal prior to him ordering it in and shipping out to me.

Black US$185, silver ghost $225, carbon $285 plus $40 shipping to Australia

Ordered on 11 Feb, arrived at my door 4 March 2008.
