Horn upgrade for Tiger 1050?

I'm the proud new owner of a Tiger 1050. I love the bike but I do think the stock horn is a bit wheezy. I want something that will get someone's attention when needed. I looked at a PIAA 115db snailshell blaster, but not sure it will fit where the factory noisemaker goes without getting in the way of the forks or front fender under compression. Anyone else tried this? Thanks.

There's a few threads on this. Not least mine! Seems the Stebulis Nautilus (130dB+) is the way to go. I believe the standard horn is supposed to be 115dB. Bear in mind the dB scale is a log scale so an increase in a couple of dB can be a doubling of sound pressure.

Horn upgrades

Thanks Tone. I had checked back to the beginning of the year and didn't see anything horn related. As soon as I hit send, I got links to several older threads on the horn which I have read. I'm sure there is a way to search all threads by topic or keyword that I haven't discovered yet, but I'll press on. Thanks again.

No need to be personal.

I added the Fiamm Highway blasters, both high and low note. Fabbed an offest aluminum bracket and tucked them up under, pointing forward. Works the balls! (a treat!)

Hi, I posted a bit about a cheap but really good horn which will fit both Tiger 1050 and 955i a few weeks ago, The Landrover Defender low tone horn fits brilliantly and sounds really good. you can pick them up from most LR 4X4 stockists, for around a fiver. (Part No YEB10027)
