About to treat myself to a new set of tyres and having used Metzler Tourance with great success on both the tiger and my previous bike, whose name I shall not mention, I intended to use the same but wondered if any of you chaps have used the new EXP variant?

Looks a slightly less blocky pattern and since I'm 100% tarmac, I hope, this would suit me better perhaps.

Any ideas?

I can only offer a second-hand opinion from something I heard from a mate, that the EXP is more expensive and wears out in fewer miles with no real performance benefit. That might all be wrong, but it's what I heard.

Thanks Skidpan, thats kinda what I'm hearing myself so I've stuck with the ordinary common or garden ones, if nothing else the "feel" will be familiar.

I heard this from a tyre supplier a few months ago. Just a report on other riders' opinions, not mine (I run Anakees).
