I guess I'll be hanging around this forum a lot more now. Santa got the hint and left a shiny new '03 Tiger under the tree. It's still in the crate where it's going to stay until the snow goes and it's time to ride again. So in the meantime, I've got lots of time to think about what extra goodies I need to order for the dealer to put on when he unpacks it. I already got him to throw in a center stand and heated grips, and it came with the hard luggage.

What's on everybody's list of favorite extras for their Tigers?

Merry Christmas and Happy Riding New Year
:-g to all . . .

Welcome to the club Paulie!
What colour did you go for in the end??

My list went somehing like this.......

Lubetronic chain oiler (Trebles the life of my chains)
Aftermarket exhaust (that sound!)
K&N Filters
Tall screen for long runs
Gel saddle for ace comfort
Touratech Crash bars (Fit some whatever the make! Most of us will testify to a 'topple'. either walking the bike or at very slow speed)
Garmin SP3 GPS system. I am completely hooked on this piece of kit.

Take a look in the Tiger Trails album, there are some pic's of some bits and bobs in there.

When you unleash the beast, take some pics and post them in an album.

You are in for a fun new year!

Jim

thanks, Jim. I opted for the silver. I figure you might approve. Your list looks a lot like mine.

What is involved with putting on the offroad cans? Does it require re-mapping the injection on this engine, or can you just buckle it on.?

Also, it looks from some of the posts like the K&N filter is not a completely straighforward change out like it is on the Thunderbird. Anyway, I"m sure all will become clear in time.

I have to agree with big Stripey. All are good, but the gel seat is superb. Did 425miles non stop on Xmas eve following the directions on the garmin and the gel seat was sooooo comfy. All the other bits played their part, but comfort is the thing.
The big problem with the sports exhaust is SWMBO. ( You spent how much on a new exhaust when a new bike has one all ready.!!!!) I need a good answer to this one guys as so far I have not been convincing enough. Any help on this will be greatfully received. Ta. :-D
