mmm... Fits bike and can be used in the car sound great.

I would get one if they didn't cost an arm and a leg.

It looks like it will cost about a thousand US. I dont know about you, but I think my arm and leg are worth far more than that! lol.

That being said, I'm definitly waiting on one for my bike. If they come out with a marine one, I might just have to throw one on my boat as well.

The screen makes all the difference in the world. I have a Garmin eTrex Vista now, though it's a great GPS, you have to pull over and squint to see anything on the screen.

Hi Chris,

I have the Garmin 2610 which I use all the time now, god knows how I lived without the GPS before, brilliant on the bike as well as the car very fast to, I think this system will keep me busy for years :-D

I'm with you, Mutley. I love the 2610 - and a bargain for all the features you get. One you figure out the screen brightness adjustment - it terrific! I also have a Garmin GPS V that works very well, but pales in comparison to the 2610.
I also have a compass, btw...

the current car unit runs about 400 Sterling. I would expect the bike unit would need to be priced similarly if they seriously want to take garmin sales etc.

I've been consifering the Garmin Quest for a while, know I can get it for about 335 GBP. Would obviously have wanted a 2610/2620, but think the money is too much to justify.

One thing I did notice with the TomTom unit though is integrated bluetooth, i.e. it speaks wireless to your headphone/mike unit, as well as to your phone. It's been irritating me for ages that noone has made a wireless rider-pillion intercom so far, at least the TomTom unit is a step in the right direction.

I really like the way I can move the 2610 from bike to car and back easily. Just plug and go. I use the BMW (Powerlet) style outlet so I can switch easily.
