I guess it all depends on how long you're coming for. But the West is full of nice places You just head North and it will be fine

. One word of caution, you'll be hitting North West Scotland in time for the dreaded midgie season. Bring some tea tree oil type stuff and some Avon skin so soft to repell them. The woodland fresh variant of skin so soft was the best, but I don't think you can find it anymore.

Don't be put off just come up anyway.
