hi to everyone, my 1st post on RAT net so if this is an 'old' topic please bear with me!

What I am interested in finding out just what are the differences between the 955 engine in the Tiger and the one fitted to the 955 ST/RS? Basically, does the Tiger have different camshafs / lower compression pistons etc? as there does appear to be a sizeable difference in BHP putputs between the bikes. Have just aquired an 03 Tiger 955 to replace my 99 955 ST so am kinda curious.

If anyone has the factory manual(s) that might well detail the differences. Any info greatly appreciated

I have been following this too. The main difference is the cams of the two motors. I believe that if you were to fit a set of S3 or Sprint cams to a Tiger with the propert FI tune you would be looking at a 105-110Hp Tiger.
The Tigher uses the older T595/509 series head and I assume smaller throttle bodies.
So if the cams were swapped out it whould feel like a 99-01 Speed triple.

You will have to swap out the ignitor box as well as the cams.
