Another tiger convert

hi all, I'm, a new convert to the Tiger camp. I had an 06 Sprint, and just wrote off my 07 Speedy so when it came to replacing the Speedy, I decided I wanted something with similar ergos, a bit of wind protection, the Triumph 1050 motor and a more comfortable seat. I picked up my Blue, 08 Tiger tonight and it seems to fit the bill on all counts. I'm really looking forward to getting some km's on this new beast.

Like a lot here, I'll consider what I need to do to fix the lights and keep an eye on the rear shock. In just 10km home from the dealer, the front end is much more compliant than the Speed Triple - great for comfort but not so great for spirited riding. Tonight I upped the front end preload, compression and damping to firm to get rid of some of the dive under brakes. Will see how it goes tomorrow when I get to ride to work.

As my email said Russ, congratulations. I hope it brings you all that you want from it.

Jamming that blue sure looks good, with the new Tiger, I've now had Red, white and blue Triumphs

I've played with the suspension a bit and went up Hawkesbury Rd, Yarramundi tonight. Started to get a bit of confidence on the bike, which is good. The feel is so different from my Speedy it will take a little while.

The lights aren't too bad. The low beam is a bit short std, so I'll adjust that up a touch, and the high beam seems to point left too much, so needs to be straightened a bit. After that I'll see if I need the twinlight driver or spotties on as additions.

Congrats on the new ride.

My dealer is getting ready to unwrap a 08 Orange one. Guess I better stay away for awhile or I'll be getting that look from the wife.

Russ, I installed the twinlight driver. It's from one of your Aussie brothers. GREAT product. I do alot of night riding and the difference is...well...night and day

I installed the SW Motech bars and this weekend am installing driving lights as well.

Have you been to Tiger1050.com? I'm AZRamjet over there.
