A cautionary tale. Last year I had 5 bikes insured on one policy with Bennetts. I sold one and phoned and had it removed. Three months later the renewal date came up but no notice from Bennetts. When I phoned they had cancelled the whole policy - I had been riding un-insured. When I asked about the re-fund thay said they has credited to may card (they hadn't) When I asked which card they said they were not allowed to keep records of cards - how did you credit it then - stunned silence. I renewed with them on the promise they would find the re-fund. Never did.
This year the renewal arrived. £346 - I phoned and said never again with you people, take me off your records NOW. One week later renewal reminder arrives, this time for £494.
I have taken out a policy with Motorcycle Direct - £216 (no mileage limitations and lower excess)
That's interesting............I have three bikes, two are with Bennetts, when I tried to insure the third with them I was told "You cannot have more than two bikes on one policy"
I had to go elsewher and pay full price for a single bike.
ebikeinsurance.co.uk for me really good and plenty of european use included. It does cost £50 more for european breakdown cover but I had my van with them and car too.
I've just got my renewal quote from Adrian Flux for £140 which seemed ok until I read that it includes "£15 policy issue fee".
What the f*** is that all about!
Anyway I got on t'internet and found a policy for £105,better terms than Fluxy as well.

You were lucky! Carole Nash = £39!!! You make a change mid-term, £30 please. I have paid £99 to Carole Nash within the space of a month just for 1 bike change, 1 bike addition and policy renewal! That's just their fees, not premiums.
