So, getting back to services. Your owners handbook (I assume you got one with the bike)[if not you can download a copy at http://www.fiche-man.com/triumph/triumph.htm shows all the service intervals and what's included in those services.

Basically, the major services, which include the valve check, are every 12K. And the minor services, which is really just an oil & filter change, are in between at 6K, 18K, 30K etc.
The 18K service cost me £170 most of which was labour. You can easily do it yourself.

Thieves alright...

I'm steering clear of those morons- went to Longs today, he can check my valves, and he suggested a place called Blaze in North Miami to have the o2 checked. Bike seems to run rich, maybe the ECU on the exhaust? Something making me get only 135 miles from a full tank to the light on...

Longs said they took a 97 Tiger in, there was some screw up with the starter that year, and the labor was $1000 to R&R it, plus the parts...

Bike still sits there after a few months, guy doesn't want to give up the money.

I only paid $2500 for my 02 Tiger, I'm wondering what that one is worth. 1997, needs 1000 bucks in repair...? Maybe someone needs it for parts? I can get it and ship it out in a container to anywhere its wanted. If someone is interested, I'll see him in a couple days and ask.
