The Benelli's certainly have a look and style, but I've heard the finish doesn't last (unfortunately also like MotoGuzzi) and the motor is considered rough, compared to Triumph's offering.

Now put our 1050 in those frames, and you may have a different story

Sure looks like one of these!

Why not get a Duc if you don't want a Tiger? And for "offroad", it seems they all have 17" wheels. Not much of an offroad there. Granted, it's a nice looking bike, but I still love my Tiger.

Nah, IMO they should have stuck the 1050 motor in the "Girlie" and uprated the suspension with similar damping and rebound adjustments to the Speed Triple, got rid of the fairing and dash and put on two Speed Triple headlights, with an optional detachable screen for long trips and made it even more off road capable. Kind of like a Speed Triple with big springs and knobbies.

Then, they should have released what they now call a 1050 Tiger as the new 1050 Sprint. Yes, I know this would have caused Sprint riders to spit a little, but..... who really cares about Sprint riders Although instead of the tall suspension, reduce it a little and make it more road capable.

Then, once the more off road capable Tiger was released, they take a similar, but reduced size frame and wheelbase and chuck in a 675 with a re-weighted flywheel and fuel map for more low end torque and called it the Cub.

IMO, Triumph have tried to muscle in on the Beemerschooter Adventure market, but missed with the current Tiger, missed completely. That's not to say they're a great bike for what they are, it's just that I believe they were designed to be too many things to too many people and now don't really excell in any area.

Yes, full of opinions I know......

Mick

Ugly from the front though.

BIG BILL

It's actually quite ugly from the side as well. I do like the "seat warmer" though.

As the owner of a Ducati Multistrada I'm not allowed to comment on another bikes beauty / ugliness............

Shaft drive sucks.
I would think the Tiger would out-perform the Guzzi in all catagories.
Just my opinion.

It says something when Benelli can't even get the spec right on their own website. The Amazonas actually has 19" front wheel not the 17" they state in that blurb. What chance have they got of building a decent bike.

You got to be kidding or maybe you mean the beautiful blond in which I agree wholeheartedly with your comment.??

That bike is U.G.L.Y. (means ugly).

As a soon to be former Sprint owner, I find the relaxed riding position and good ride of my Tiger 1050 quite nice. Plus it looks fine. At a stoplight the other day a harley rider pulled up and said my Tiger was beautiful. I've had many bikes but never a comment from a harley guy like that (except being called #1 when I passed them).

There is nothing wrong with comfort and good looks.

I'd be cautious the Harley rider wasn't the state trooper from Wild Hogs

Yes I love the ergos, and comfort of the Tiger over the Sprint and the S3 as well.

First service on Friday, hope the TOR and heated grips have come in!
