I'm planning a ride this June from Tampa, Florida to just west of Ottawa (Clayton, Ontario), to visit some friends of 35 years ago.

I'll be riding all back roads from Florida through lots of small towns and would really like to use my Valentine One for state revenue enhancement avoidance.

I know about Virginia but I thought I heard that Ontario didn't allow radar detectors also. In Virginia I just put the thing away but I'm wondering if I can get through Canadian customs with a radar detector in my luggage or is posession itself illegal ?

Another question..will there still be snow in Ontario in June? Just kidding, sort of.

and highway police (OPP) are provincial, so the customs people may not have the jurisdiction to do anything about the radar detector.

Just don't run with it on in Ontario, the police will track track you down and confiscate it.

PS - it might snow in June - not really kidding!!!!

Cool, it's a provincial thing !

I lived in Ottawa in 1973 and remember it snowed in May !

And everyone had already removed their snow tires !
