Avon tire question?

Has anyone had any experience w/ the Avon Distanzia M43/M44 on their Tigers? It's time for new shoes and I'm shopping around.90% road 2-up and 10% gravel/dirt roads is my rideing style. Thanks for all replys!

I currently have the Avons on & love them. They grip great on the road even while scraping the pegs. I liked them so much I put avons on my sprint as well & have had great results on that bike, too.

I've only had the tiger off road on gravel trails for 100 or so miles & they worked fine. I will put avons on again when these are worn out.

My buddy and I fitted Distanzias at the same time on our Tigers. He came from pure road tyres which were on the bike when he bught it and I was running Anakees.

My feeling is that they are 99% as grippy as the Anakees in the wet and do not squirm as much when pushed in the dry. In fact, I don't notice any squirm at all. Genuine all-round tyres which reputedly have a longer life than the Anakees and at a cheaper price.

And in case you were wondering....they have been fine off-road too (and we are cr*p at riding off-road so we need all the help we can get!)

I'll be using them again, too

Avons also have a road warranty. I had a flat on a speed triple with a tire that had about 80% tread left. They faxed me a form and then sent my dealer a new tire! No charge! The form basically asked the dealer to measure tread depth and verify a puncture. I did all the measurements and had my dealer sign the form. I faxed it to Avon, no problems. Great tires and great service. Did I say British?
