I will be going on the Triumph factory tour in May and was thinking of doing a write up about it (on my site) for those who cannot go themselves. I have two questions:

1. Is anyone interseted in this?

2. Can someone (who has been) tell me if I can take photo's or video?

Thanks

The tour is well worth going on,although i couldn't help thinking that if the Triumph factory was impressive what must the Jap ones be like!!!

I have top say i went with an open mind, not only to look at the way the bikes are made but to look at the job it's self, some of the guys on the production track were highly amused by the look of disgust on my face at some of the working practices, you'll see e'm on the walls as you walk round!!!

But i'd certainley go again, cameras??? e'r you are jokeing !!!

err why joking ?? I am due to go on a factory visit later in the year and had presumed there would be little objection to photo's, providing it wasnt restricted stuff.
Seems I need a reality check.. or is it something else?

Did the factory during the open day this year and there was no problem taking pic.

I've been and photography, whilst not encouraged, is not banned either. Although I wouldn't recommend you take an SLR with 400mm telephoto lense, tripod, and lighting!

I found the focus seemed to be on the engine manufacture, sandwiched between brief spells in the bought-in warehouse and final bike assembly. Personally I wished more time could have been spent on the assembly line where the bikes are "born".

Look forward to seeing your report soon.
