High mileage covered??

So what is your total annual mileage? I use my Tiger to commute 65 miles each day-and summer continental trips. Current bike bought new september 06 last of the real Tigers in British racing green -miles so far 24,200 including a week touring around and over the Dolomites in Italy, back through the Black Forest region of Germany (try the B500 if you havn't found it yet-Awesome road)-also managed a days riding round Brands Hatch race track.... I'm sure there are higher mileage riders out there? any takers??

Not high mileage claim just to say I bought my Tiger new on 28 Feb 2007 (last year)

This month it's all go for it's 12,000 mile/ 20,000 km warranty check next Wednesday.

I just hope I don't get ripped off.

I have used 2 back tyres and one front and have replaced both Anakees this month with Pirelli Scorpions.

I am retired and just ride my bike whenever I can, where ever I can, while I still can.

Mrs oldrider still comes with me on the pillion whenever she can too.

She thinks the Tiger is the most comfortable bike we have ever owned.

We have had a fair few over the years too. Cheers John.

Yep great road that, local German fella pointed it out to me when I was camping at the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang castle in Bavaria. I said Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as thats much quicker than saying schloss neuswannstein.
Don't know why more people don't consider Germany/Bavaria when planning trips, fantastic place.

Itchy.

Oldrider,

Oh to be retired, have a Tiger, and live in New Zealand. Surely, it does'nt get any better than that !!

As for mileage, I've tryed to keep it down over 2007 to 6,000 miles, but could have easily done 10,000.

Most in one day - 800miles from Switzerland to Norfolk, UK. 18 hours in the saddle. Ok for me but the wife kept falling asleep on the back !!

Regards,
Graeme.

I don't commute like that anymore so my bike is used for holidays and mooching around on days out. Bought in August 2002, at August 2003 it had 16500 miles on the clock. Currently has 48500 at 5&1/2 years old. Still going strong after its 48K service and thorough going over.

I had a 99 Speed Triple that I did 70,000kms on, bought it with 40,000 and sold it at 110,000km.

The Tiger has 22,000 since it was new on Jan 23, 2007. I commute on average 120km every day.

Mick

2005 Speedmaster bought new in 3/05. It has 39,800 miles now maybe a few more than that.Dang close to 40,000 miles.Ride most the time to work six days a week.Sold the old truck I had.Just got the bike now and the wifes car for now.Good bike. Most mileage I did in short time was a trip to Oregon in two days did 1075 miles up there.Did the same coming back home 1075 miles in two days.Took the same roads both ways due to running out of vacation time. One thing about racking up miles in short time is you figure out things you want to change on the bike for comfort.I seen I am in the Tiger section, oops.Oh well!

Talking

I visited a small dealer last week and he had a number of tigers in progress. A Steamer with 69000 on the clock, a 9551 with 40K and a 1050 with 20 K. I quote, it aint the milage that does them in, its the nut on the saddle. He was pointing out that reasonable common sense and maintenance was all that was required for reliability. I did 43K on my 9551 and it never missed a beat. My 1050 is allready heading that way and its proper care thats the clue. Not like a proper old style triumph at all really.
