Another one bites the dust...

The one biting the dust is a BMW.....Don't worry!
I just got a call from a Uruguayan friend here in Tucson. Another Uruguayan friend in Miami had to talk to me immediately! Seems he was at the Triumph dealer and just drove a new Tiger. He was so excited about how it handled, sounded, felt, etc. that he wanted to make sure it was reliable. He knew I loved my Maggie, so I gave him a call. I can't describe how excited he was, and this was in his second language! He had a deposit on one of those German things that was going to cost $10K more than the Tiger and not be here until April. He signed the papers and bought the black Triumph as we talked! He'll be stopping by Tucson on his way to California on his new Tiger and we'll grill a bunch of meat to celebrate. Put another pin in the map of Tiger owners in Canalones, Uruguay.

Interesting read, Bill. My son is thinking of buying a Sprint--says he can't have the same bike as his ol' man...I just smile.

I just wish that more people over here would stop buying the BMW "badge". I'm sure that's what they're doing. Of course Ewan McGregor & Charley Boorman didn't help matters. Hope your mate's pleased with his new bike.

Bill,
I assume the pair of you will do a bit of a "Tucson Tiger Tour" when he hits town? If so let me know; I'd love to join in!

Yeah, but just imagine if E&C had used Tigers. Everyone would think we were just copying......
