klavdy,
All emotions set aside, I've got a couple of questions. Is that the Thunderbike sport screen? And secondly, what video setup do you use? Pretty nice footage.
Klavdy, you need to come down a bit further south and do the Summerland Way, Gwydir, and Oxley hwys. If we can do Putty, Thunderbolts and Oxley twice each as an overnighter from Sydney to Wauchope and return (1350km round trip so an easy overnighter), you should be able to do the others from Brisvegas :-)
Sorry can't resist my 2 cents worth on the double line thing (which I do on virtually every ride).
A bike with the 1050 motor can accelerate in 2-3 seconds from 60-80k to 120-140. That means you're on the other side of the road only for that whole 2-3 seconds. If you've got 20-30secs visibility there's PLENTY of time to overtake safely.
Just because it's the law, don't make it right. Hanging over the centreline (broken or unbroken) DURING a corner and taking out another biker is the worst sin but just crossing the line with good visibility is not a big deal if done as per the vid - in an experienced and controlled manner.
True (that we're all entitled to an opinion) and I didn't think I had (nor intended) to get personal.
I was explaining the context where I thought there was/is nothing wrong with crossing lines and providing an example of where I think it is wrong and dangerous.
Bottom line, things are rarely black and white, and most often situational.

I'm off to Western Australi on Sunday, will be back in Queensland in three weeks, and I plan on going for a couple days ride down to Walcha.

I work three weeks on, then get a week off..
If you look at all the video's in the origional post, you will see one video with 2 actual crashes and 1 almost crash in one video.
Now this could have been a few different rides edited into one video, but if all three happened in one day, what does that say about the riders. So you've got the possibility of riders who don't understand the "limit point" or "vanishing point", whatever you want to call it, coupled with overtaking on double whites.
If that rider wants to spoil their own day, that's fine, but when a rider wants to spoil a completely innocent road user's day then is that ok ??
Here's an example, that's very graphic (mods - feel free to remove if not right for this forum) :

HAH!
Yeah, check this Vid http://blip.tv/file/343663 out, if I had to wait behind the cattle truck until it was "Legal" to overtake, why, I'd be covered in dung.
Dung bakes on and dries hard so quickly.
And it's not a good look.

Graeme.
Two actual crashes, yes, one from going into a corner too hot, that's Brian, the bloke who raises his arms to say he's o.k, and another one , bit more serious, Kelly on his R1,new rider, target fixated and ran off the road over the edge.
Don't think either of them were going over double lines, here's a video where some one does go over the lines though,,,
