Picked up my neeew orange Tiger two weekends ago. Bike is great but dies at idle on occasion. At 240 miles the dealer has it and is checking with Triumph on the Fuel injection program. Anyone else have this problem?
I've got to say that the dealer is awesome. He's letting me use a Multistrada as a loaner. I'd ridden both bikes and chose between the two. The Duck is nice, but I'm really glad I went with the Tiger.

There is a few things to keep in mind to keep the fuel injection happy.

1. Never give throttle when you start the engine. The computor will handle everything for you.

2. Always turn off engine with the key. Just another thing to keep the computor ECU happy.

3. When you turn on the key at start up, wait a few seconds before you start. The fuel pump build up fuel pressure and the ECU will wake up.

It can happen that engine stall when you let off throttle fast. There are some earlier threads about that.

engine stall

Mine died on me once and as you can se on those other threads you are not alone with this problem.

Good luck!

I've heard this one both ways. The guys at the shop say use the engine cutoff switch, then turn the key off. I assume this has been hashed out here so I'll look around.

My 01 started stalling at idle and it turned out to be a compression problem. It also became hard to start. I'm sure that's not your issue.

The kill switch is for emergency use only and bypasses the normal shutdown mode of the bikes computer. Owners who regularly shut off the bike with the kill switch have frequently had problems.
Compare it to shutting down your pc by just pulling the plug from the wall socket every turn. It is not going to take long for your pc to start playing up. The bikes internal computer is no different.

I've had the habit of shutting down with the sidestand. I assume that's bad too?

I haven't had any problems yet (that I know of) but I'm wondering if I should get the computer remapped anyway?

Guess I'll tape the red switch for a while to remind me to develop a different habit . . . .

The sidestand switch is also for emergency only.
Note that Triumph should let us all know this information. The manual says what to do, but not what NOT to do.
Rather than tape the switch, imagine your Tiger is a fighter plane and needs a proper and defined starting and shut down procedure.

We can all dream can't we?
