I took about a 50 mile test ride yesterday and was sold! My new baby is an orange 05. I picked it up in St. Louis and rode the 135 miles back home, with a BIG grin. The trip took longer than usual. I stopped have way, so my wife could fuel her car. The Tiger drew a crowd and it would have been rude to just ride off. I even got a couple of complements from Harley riders. That's very rare in these parts.

Just wanted to share.

Chyron...

You'll see the approval from the HD crowd more often... The Tiger is too unique to be a percieved threat... You're not a "HD wanna-Be" on a Tiger...

So pleased for you guys

It's a great feeling, those precious first rides on your Tiger. The thing is there are many many more. I've been riding Tigers now for nearly five years almost daily and i still look for the long way home just to rip up a few more twisties

Make sure you post up an album in the members forum so we can all enjoy your new bikes.

Cheers

Congratulations, Chyron. It only took me a 5 mile test ride. Did you need that long to convince, or did you simply not want to go back to the dealer just yet?

congrats on buying a belter of a bike.

I believe that HD riders give a lot of credence to the Marque as a whole. It is after all the brit bike of choice and has a long pedigree.

Chyron, Hope you enjoy your new Tiger as I have mine. I'd like to make you aware of the Mid-west Tiger ride-in located in Jasper, AR on June 9-12 this year. There may be as many as 75 Tigers show up in this, it's 3rd year. There is a Yahoo website for the event named US_TIGER_RIDE_INS and there is a poster for the 2005 event in the files folder at that site created in word document format. You will find several Tiger riders from Missouri there who attend the ride-in, and a group of Tiger riders from Iowa who travel down through the middle of Missouri on the way to the event. you may be able to hook up with them and ride along.

Have fun!

Mike in Nebraska

congrats on the new addition
i added a silver beauty to my family on sat and love it
the 05 is a much better ride than the 99 i had few years ago. i found a good way of getting the wife to agree that we had to have her. she loves to ride ( 650 mi day on the back of our sprint a few years ago) i sold it and made her ride around on the back of a 92 ducati . sat it started acting up so i rode to the shop and while waiting for a repair test drove the tiger needlees to say it worked :-D
