I was just contacted by my dealer (I've had the bike for 6 days). I was told that there was some question from the factory as to the final tourqing of the head bolts. Triumph will remove the head, fit a new head gasket and reinstall. I was told that this could be done at the same time as the 500 mile/1 month service. This is a little troubling - as this engine/chassis has been in production for several years. I can only speculate as to some machinery malfunction at the factory causing their suspicion.

Coolant leaks at cold tempertures are fast becoming a common fault on all models even 885i

I second that, have got an outstanding warranty issue on my 885i, where every so often, often on a cold engine, I find it with visible dried white powdery trails on the LHS of the engine. Had it checked back in October, claimed to be a loose hose clip, but problem was still there two weeks laters. No idea where it actually comes from, but have been promised by dealer to have it looked at again at the 18k service.

I was down at Motoexotics today and road there 2005 tiger demo for about 30 miles chasinng a guy on a Duc 999 and another guy on a Duc S4R, and I had know problem keeping up. I was laughing in my helmet because I was so comfortable and watching those guys licking there gas tanks was just to funny, AnyWay, I spoke with there Service Manager and he confirmed that only a few Vin# of the 2005 is afected by this recall. I am waiting for my BRG 2005 cant wait.

My "new to me" '04 dumped a bunch of coolant on my driveway earlier this week. I took it by the dealer and apparently the radiator cap was not fitting properly, which was causing a pressure build up in the overflow tank, which caused the leak. I haven't ridden it much since I got it back as the weather turned bad, but it didn't leak when I brought it home.

Craig,
When I got there today the thing had 2 miles on it i was dying to crack it open. I loved it!!! the power is so smoooooth!! I should have mine in a couple of weeks, you will be herin from me. the one little niggle i noticed on the bike today was the dredded stumble with the EFI, it would stumble around 3800 to 4000 RPM, but other then that it was a beautiful ride. have you noticed this stumble on yours, I think I am going to order a Dyno Jet 02 bypass to have ready to install when I get mine.

Erik, mine has no stumbles it works great so-far. I hope that mine isn't one that needs the recall I will cross my fingers.I have the off-road pipe on order, but OC Triumph has moved and the parts dept hasn't reopened, maybe next week.I ordered the Tourateck (spelling?) crash bars but their on back-order also.
