Tiger Update

Well did the first run with Tiger today after the 3 week layover in shop. Overall am pleased with bike performance. Did 150 mile trip this morning in the fog (opposed to my mind in a fog). Think I might still be getting some surging in low gear/low speed but nothing compared to when I first got the bike and it was really bad. It was really so suttle it may just be me. Highway speed the bike runs like a champ. Accelerating is great, no hesitation, etc. Need a few more days to get used to the bike again as was a bit on edge trying to hear/feel any problems. Taking next week of from work so hope to do a run again on maybe Thursday if the weather is good.

I know what you mean RT. I did my valve clearances on my '05 a few weeks ago, but didn't do the throttle body synch at the time. Riding the bike I convinced myself that the engine wasn't quite as smooth as it should be. So then I checked the synchronisation of the throttle bodies - spot on, no need to change. I had been listening/feeling for things that really weren't there.

Tiger Update

RT, glad to hear that you're in the Wind. Enjoy the bike. As a poke to the other poor sods that live north of Interstate 10, the riding weather here is perfect, 75-80 degrees and clear. I'm sure our Aussie collegues are enjoying things as well, having their summer now. My buddy and I found a great place to do some off roading, fairly dry, some loose dirt, and great mud puddles. Next time you come out to UCF, I'll take you over to get the bike dirty.

Merry Christmas to all my Triumph friends that I know and to those I have yet to meet. Remember the reason for the Season.

Good for you, RT. I'm glad to hear you have your Tiger back, and just in time for Christmas!

How is your new Spencer-modified seat working out?

Best,
Brooks

Sunday was this first ride of any distance and it wasn't to bad. Seems to give me more support than the stocker with no pressure points. Big test will be to do a 200+ mile day on it which I hope to do pretty soon.

Hey Swamper...
With a few phone calls the Florida contingent coming up to West Virginia could be
8-9 riders. Florida riders are 'travelers'.

See you in Westerly Virginny next June.
